Redecorating every season can make a dent in our pockets in the long run. Autumn is in our midst and winter is just around the corner. The colder season calls for warmth and coziness. The good news is, there are easy ways to do this without breaking the bank. A change of accessories around the house will definitely do the trick. Let me tell you the ways on how to create a cozy home on a budget.
- Throws- They are not only for keeping warm while lounging on your sofa, throws also double up as decoration for the home. The cold months calls for browns, beiges, greys and plums. Different texture also adds to the warmth be it fleece, wool, or cotton.
- Cushions- You can’t be more right with cushions. They are the most inexpensive accessory to change from season to season. The good thing with cushions is you don’t have to really change the whole thing. You only need to buy inexpensive and affordable cushion covers.
My go to places for affordable cushions are B&Q and Dunelm. I have also been perusing the site of Yorkshire Linens and found a lot that really caught my fancy that is a fraction of most prices in high street stores.
Yorkshire Linen has a good selection of cheap cushions and cushion covers that will fit within every bargain hunter’s budget. They come in every shape, size, type, and design. My favourites that I am eyeing are the Union Jack design and the Make Yourself At Home slogan design. Makes me patriotic and a homebody at the same time.
3.Candles – Creating the mood for a warmer and comfier home are candles. Nothing beats the beautiful scent that lingers in your home. My favourites are Dyptique in the high-end department and Yankee candles for the more affordable option.
Incorporating all three home accessories mentioned will not only make your home cosier in the colder month, you’re also redecorating your home as you would every season. This way, you are hitting two birds with one stone and definitely not breaking the bank.
